Terry Lively is sole owner of the the Esthetics Academy
of South Texas located in San Antonio. She has been a trainer member with the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals since
January of 2000. Terry was designated a "master trainer" by the Permanent Cosmetics Instructors Association in 2005. She was board certified in permanent
makeup application by the American Academy of Micropigmentation in 2001. She is a licensed
esthetician and makeup artist in the State of Texas. With a background in traditional tattooing, she has specialized in
cosmetic tattooing for 10 years. In 2006, she became a certified Softap Trainer,
and offers permanent makeup classes in the U.S. and Canada.
In 2002, she along with Mr. John Hashey, founded the Conventional and Cosmetic Tattoo Association, an organization dedicated
to assisting new technicians with free education, seminars and conventions. She served as first president of the CCTA until May of 2005.
Terry is a full member of the National Tattoo Association and the Alliance of Professional Tattooists, as well as the newly
formed Permanent Cosmetics Instructors Association. She is a published author and has contributed industry related articles to "Skin Scribe", PC Medical Newsletter, and Cosmetech Magazine.
In May of 2005, Terry became an approved OSHA Outreach Instructor and teaches 10 and 30 hour classes
in general industry safety with a focus on blood borne pathogens.
So why train with Terry? On more than one occasion students
have commented that Terry "tells it like it is". She has an easy style and
approach to permanent makeup application and teaching, and makes students feel
comfortable while learning. She packs technical, as well as artistic information
into each class. She prefers small classes, with usually a maximum of 2
students per class.
Having practiced in South Texas for years, she has extensive experience in color theory and working with various ethnic groups than
can prove challenging for most technicians.
We encourage you to look at photos of both Terry's work, and work that her students' have completed. Many websites
will show work completed immediately after a procedure, however rarely will they show "healed" work. The end result is what
truly shows an artist's skill. Terry has included healed photos of work that she and her students have completed. As the saying goes, a picture is worth
a thousand words.
